Best of Facial Cleansers 2017

I've been writing up my 10 Step Korean Skincare Routine for the past few days, and I decided I would make a post about my facial cleansers first so that I could talk more about the products itself. I've been using these for the past few months and I really like them.

Oil Cleansers

1. Heimish All Clean Balm

The Heimish All Clean Balm is an  oil cleanser that effectively removes makeup gently. Compared to other cleansing balms like Banila Co's "Clean It Zero", this is made with more natural and safer ingredients. On the CosDNA website, all of its ingredients are safe except for one, which is Ethylhexyl Palmitate, as it may cause acne and it's an irritant. This product doesn't sting my eyes and it really removes makeup really well.

It comes in a round tub with a really beautiful design at the top. Heimish came up with a new bottle design that came out literally the week after I bought this, so mine is the old design. It comes with a spatula which makes it really sanitary. The old design, which I have, comes with a protective lid inside that you have to remove and that's where the spatula is placed. The texture actually looks like soap that you can scoop, but it is very moisturizing and easy to apply. This product is 120ml, and honestly, I usually use a little only because I mainly use oil cleansers to remove my eye makeup only, so this would last me for a quite a substantial amount of time.

2. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil

Initially, I didnt like this product  as stung my eyes and I was legitimately crying. But after awhile, I actually got used to it and I've been using it ever since as it works well in removing my makeup. It removes my toughest makeup, which is why I really like it. It does have a fragrance to it but it's not an overwhelming scent.

The texture is quite watery and I usually use it by applying it onto a cotton pad. Usually for me, I use about 1-2 cotton pads to remove my eye makeup. The product comes in a dispenser and I've kept the stopper on to prevent it from spilling in case I bring this product overseas.

 Cleansing Water

1. VECUA Nature Honey Honey Dew Cleansing Water

This cleansing water is from VECUA Honey, which is a well known Japanese brand. It contains 10% honey water and it has a low pH value. It doesn't contain any alcohol, mineral oil or artificial colouring. The product information on this does states that you can use this without having to do a second face wash.Th first time I tried it out, I did notice that it had a rather soothing honey scent.

It is extremely hydrating and gentle, which I really like. My friends who have really sensitive skin tried this out as well and they really liked it because their skin didn't turn red from their sensitivity. I've also seen other people rave about this product because it is really really really really good. The only downside is that this cleansing water is rather expensive as it's $33.

2. Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cleansing Water

This Blueberry Rebalancing Cleansing Water is actually from Innisfree's superfood series. It has a pH value of 5.5, which allows your skin to maintain it skin's pH levels. This allows your skin to stay healthy, which I really like. It is also quite hydrating to the skin, but not as hydrating as the Vecua Honey cleansing water.

But, this blueberry series and the superfood series are not currently available in Singapore, which I really wish it was, because I really want to try out the Blueberry Rebalancing Facial Cleanser.

3. The Saem White Tea Cleansing Water

This facial cleanser has been my go-to cleansing water for the past few weeks. Like the other two, it is gentle in removing makeup and it doesn't strip away the moisture from my skin. Compared to the other two, this product is cheaper as it costs only USD$3.50 for 300ml.

It contains Jirisan Mountain White Tea which helps with dull skin and it also has AHAs which help to exfoliate the skin. The Saem also has other "tea" healing garden cleansing waters like the Green Tea and Tea Tree Cleansing water, but my skin personally does not do well with those inredients, which was why I didn't get them.

 Facial Cleanser

1. Neogen Real Fresh Foam

Neogen has a series of these real foam cleansers, where the other types are green tea, cranberry and cereal. The Neogen Blueberry real fresh foam is specifically for hydrating and moisturizing the skin. This also contains real fermented blueberries which are powerful anti-oxidants, and you can see the blueberries just floating at the bottom of the bottle.

My skin hasn't been irritated by this because it really cleanses gently and most of its ingredients are safe. Other foam cleansers that I've tried have been drying to my skin, but this one really makes my skin hydrated. This facial cleanser also makes my skin brighter after I use it.

2. Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser

This facial cleanser has Jeju volcanic mineral salt and the salt granules that helps exfoliate the skin. The one that I have is the 40% sea salt and there's also 20% and 30% sea salt available.  So if you feel that the 40% facial cleanse is too harsh for you, you may choose the 20% and 30% instead.

This cleanser always makes my skin brighter and softer after using it. My friend has also tried this when I brought it to school one day and she likes it.I noticed that a little goes a long way with this product, because it does become a cleansing foam once you've lathered it onto your skin.

Using this product really helped clear my acne when I first started using it, but I switched to the gentler cleanser because I was scared of exfoliating. Hence, I only use this every 3 days nowadays to help exfoliate my face.

Thats the end of my favourite cleansers and I hope this was useful if you're keen in trying it out. Till the next post :-)
