My Experience With Eopenmarket.com

I started using Eopenmarket.com recently this month so here's my experience using it for those who are interested in trying out this website to ship Korean skincare and makeup products,especially if you live in Singapore as well. I've tried it out this website twice in case you were wondering.

Eopenmarket carries a wide range of Korean brands.They have sections available for skincare, makeup, hair and body care and also a section for males. They have well-known brands like Innisfree, Tony Moly, Etude House, Holika Holika,COSRX and also other brands that I personally have not heard of like VOV, Skin97,ANSkin etc.

I first tried out Eopenmarket when Purito had reached out to me on the app "Amino" and then the second time I tried it out was by my own decision. 

The first thing I noticed about the website was that everything was priced really cheaply. Most items were really affordable especially because most of them were on offer. But do take note that prices are in USD, in case you're like me and you're shipping from elsewhere. That's the first thing I really like about this website, which is how many of its products are really priced cheaply. 

New users will receive 3 Points when they have just recently joined, and these points can be used during a purchase. For example, if your total costs was $15, you can use the points and the new total cost will be $12. Just type it into the "Deposit" section and the new total price will be immediately calculated in. The point system will be in the "Available Deposit". For every purchase you make, you will also earn points but there are most 0.20 and above.

Honestly, although prices are in USD and the high shipping fee , I still feel that it is cheaper when converted in SGD when compared to websites like Lazada and EZbuy. For example, I purchased 7 items from Eopenmarket which costs me SGD$60+, but purchasing the same 7 items from EZbuy would cost me $70. Moreover, the delivery would be made straight to your house and if you choose "Expedited Shipping" as your choice of delivery, it would definitely take a shorter delivery time than EZbuy.

The first purchase I made I used the "K-Packet" as my shipping company, while on my second purchase I used the "Expedited Shipping". Shipping costs vary depending on how many items you have. Personally,I feel that Expedited Shipping is much more worth it if you are purchasing more items, because the shipping fees will vary lesser when compared to the K-Packet option. But if you're buying only a few items, the shipping fee from using the Expedited Shipping option may be twice the price than using the K-Packet option. If you check their recent post on their new shipping policy changes, they added how much the shipping fees costs for the various weights. For instance, for 1200g, shipping fee (to Singapore) for K-packet is $18.10, while for Expedited Shipping 1250g is $17.73. Whereas if the total weight is 500g, K-packet would cost you $5.39 and Expedited Shipping would cost $13.64.

The K-Packet option is relatively cheaper, but the duration of delivery is "10-30 days". If your purchase is below 2kg, you may use K-Packet as your shipping company choice. The Expedited Shipping on the other hand allows you to purchase up to 30kg and the delivery timings are usually "3-7 days".The Delivery periods do vary for different countries and may depend on the number of deliveries made to a particular country.

So, for the first experience I had with Eopenmarket, I used K-Packet as my shipping company choice. I had purchased roughly 3 items and they took 8 days to arrive, which is shorter than it's expected delivery timing. I placed the order on 1st november and received an email on 2nd November telling me that my items have been shipped. When my parcel came, items were nicely bubble wrapped individually. It's also quite easy to track the parcel because they have a link included in the email that they will send you.It arrived at Signpost on 7th November and I finally received it on the 9th.

The second time I used Eopenmarket, I used the Expedited Shipping option just to test if it was faster and also because it was a $1 difference from the K-Packet option since I had more items this time round. So this time, I was hoping that I would receive the email on the following day after I had made the order. I made the order on a Saturday and I only received the email on Monday. This is understandable though,because I did make the order on a non-working day. If I had placed the order in Monday morning, I would have probably received the email on the same day during the afternoon or evening. I received the email in late Monday afternoon and I did keep track of where the parcel was. The link that they include also includes the flight number that the parcel is going to be in and I did check what time it was arriving in Singapore.I find it weird how the Expedited Shipping seemed to have more transfers than the K-Packet.

The items were also packed tightly in bubblewrap which really protected the items. The order went through on Monday and the delivery finally came on Friday afternoon. The cardboard box that they do use is a little shabby for me, as I noticed that the top of the box for mine had a really small hole.

For every purchase, free gifts and samples are given. For all customers, they will receive one Missha Speedy Solution Anti-Trouble Patch Sheet and a Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack. When you purchase over $20,$60,$100 and $190, more items are given such as the Missha The Style 3D and The Style 4D mascara or Purito Snail Repair Serum. This may change in the future, but for now this is the free gifts that they have.Do note that the free gifts are not given to those who have only purchased samples.The number of samples depends on the number of items bought. For a single item, 3 samples are given, for two items 5 samples and the list goes on. There is also a whole page for samples which you can purchase for roughly $0.85-$1.37 for a set of 10 on the different brands.

I received quite a number of samples this time if you can see. A lot were from Purito, but there were others from Iope and Skinfood.

Hence, an overall summary of my experience with Eopenmarket.com:

I would definitely recommend using this website if you're interested in purchasing Korean beauty products. This website is quite reliable and efficient in delivering and the items arrive safely. The prices are definitely cheaper than a lot of other websites which makes it definitely worth it. Also, I prefer using my laptop/computer to navigate through the website as you are able to view more and using the phone does feel quite restrictive.
