Best of Eyebrows | Take My Money
I've used a lot of Korean eyebrow products this year. I have eyebrow products that I hate and eyebrow products that I love, which are my go-to products. Eyebrows are important to me, which was why I started trying out different brands and forms of eyebrow products. I've tried out brands like Clio, Holika Holika, Etude House, Innisfree etc, and here is a list and review of my favourite eyebrow products.
1.Clio Kill Brow Tinted Tattoo Pen
This tinted tattoo pen has been one of my favourite and it came in one of their limited collections. It's like a marker and it's really easy to shape my brows using this. It works like the eyebrow tints from other brands but this one is different because its more of a marker to tattoo rather than a peel off gel. The product claims to last 3-7 days, but I usually use this when I apply my makeup. You can definitely use this product to define the edges better.
The one that I have is in the shade 01 Earth Brown. It's quite light as you can see from below, but I still really like it because it really looks super natural for my eyebrows. On my eyebrows, it comes off more grey than brown, which is why I think it blends quite well for me. The only thing I would complain about this product is the smell, which is quite strong and pungent but bearable.
2. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow
The Etude House Drawing Eye Brow is also a retractable eyebrow pencil with a spoolie provided as well. I've tried out 4 different brands of eyebrow pencil so far, and so far I've been liking this. It's currently retailing at SGD$5.90 in Etude House outlets, so it's slightly cheaper than the Innisfree eyebrow pencil by 10 cents. It's easy to apply but it is slightly less smooth than the Innisfree eyebrow pencil, in the sense that it feels slightly more waxy.
The shade that I have is Grey which suits my natural brow color very well. It does appear like a dark brown in the swatches below, but it does appear more grey when applied to my brows.
4. Skinfood Choco Eyebrow Powder Cake
Back to basics, this Skinfood Choco Eyebrow Powder cake has been one of my favourite eyebrow powders so far. It comes in a small compact palette with a mirror that is easy to bring around. There's two shades and a brush is provided. I'm not sure about the retail price, but I bought this from Eopenmarket at USD$2.71. I was wondering why they named it Choco Eyebrow Power Cake and I realised it does have a faint chocolate scent.
The one I currently own is "#1 Grey Khaki", where two grey-ish shades are available There are only two types of this eyebrow palette available, where the other one is "#2 Brown Khaki" which are more brown shades. Although the pictures below show more of a brown shades, it's definitely grey shades in real life. Each palette comes with a shade thats lighter and darker.
As I've mentioned, this mini palette comes with a brush, but my first initial though was that it looked like the kind that would scrape the product which I was right. The brush does look hard but it's actually quite soft, I guess it's just the shape of the brush itself. I don't like my products looking like they've been scratched, so I just decided to use my own brushes that I already own.
5. Etude House Tint My Brows Gel
This is a great product to use when you are lazy like me. There are days that I have to leave the house for a short while and I don't really see a point in filling in my brows. But I still don't like it when my eyes are not filled cause there's this part that always look like I made a mistake trimming. So, I would use the Etude House Tint My Brows Gel once or twice a week and my issue is solved.
All you need to do is to apply it and let it sit for around 1 hour or more. After it dries, you just need to peel it out. I received a question once about whether it will change the color of your hair and my answer is, it doesn't. It's also painless and you can go about doing other things while waiting for the product to dry up.
6. Etude House Color My Brows
The Etude House Color My Brows is a Browcara. This was given to me as a gift by my friend. The thing about this product is that it may not work out for everyone. My friend gave it to me because she said it doesn't work out for her as she has really thin eyebrows. This product would work out for me as I generally have thicker brows that the product is able to comb through. For me, it works out fine and the product is quite long lasting. It's also good in neatly shaping the brows since it helps to comb through.
This is the darkest shade available which is #1 Rich brown. It is definitely noticeable as a brown shade on the brows, but it is suitable for naturally dark eyebrows. It is good if you're looking for a subtle brown eyebrow shade.

2. Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil
This Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil is a retractable eyebrow pencil which comes with a spoolie on the other end. I've owned like 5 of these so far and I guess that shows how much I really like it. It retails for SGD$6, which is quite affordable. My friend actually recommended this to me because I was looking for a eyebrow product but I didn't know which brand was better because so many were expensive. This product is also quite long lasting and I have seen it survive even when I had PE class.
The shade that I have is Urban Brown, which I got because I was looking for a dark brown eyebrow pencil shade and this was the darkest I found then. I really like how smooth this is when applying because it really applies very easily. The spoolie also works well in blending the product out. The only thing about using these eyebrow pencils is that after awhile, the tip becomes curved when it was initially quite sharp and pointed. This makes it harder to control the edges, but this is why I usually use a combination of different eyebrow products and I usually use this to fill in my brows instead.

The shade I have is in #3 Gray Brown, which is the darkest shade. The applicator is like this really straight brush and it's relatively easy to apply. The color is also quite natural for my brows and I haven't experienced any irritation from this product.

I usually use the tip of the brush to fill in the ends, while I use the thicker parts of the brush to fill in the centre. Using the tip would also help to clear out clumps.
That's the end of my Best of Eyebrows post and I hope it was useful.
Till the next post.
