Heimish Bulgarian Rose Line Review | Skincare Review
It's already November, so here's my monthly post.
I know. I've only been posting a blog post once a month, and since I'm going to start A' levels soon, I won't be posting here any time soon.
For the past few weeks, I tried out the Heimish Bulgarian Rose Line, which was part of a Try Me, Review Me event from StyleKorean.com.
I was uber excited to try this line out. I saw the Satin Cream on Meejmuse's (aka Jen Kim) Instagram story and that was when I decided to participate in this event. She's one of my favourite K-beauty Youtubers and she has influenced many of my purchases. For instance, last year, I bought the Heimish balm cleanser after watching her video and I absolutely loved it.
Heimish is a well-known Korean skincare and makeup brand. They are quite popular for the All Clean Balm (which Jen said was actually better than the Banila Co. oil cleanser) and their makeup palettes. Recently, they released a toner/water cleanser called "Refresh Water" which I really want to try.
Starting with my favourite out of the three, this is the Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch.
Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch
A multifunctional patch that brightens dark under eye circles and helps the skin to stay firm and bouncy. Bulgarian Rose water is full of skin-benefiting vitamins and minerals, as well as anti-aging and hydrating properties.
Out of the 3 products, these eye patches are my favourite to use. In fact, these might be my all-time favourite eye patches so far compared to others that I've tried. I remember seeing them on @aqsasmovingcastle‘s feed (it was a texture video ahah) and I wanted to try them out.
The area around my eye is really sensitive. Last year, there was this period of time where my eyes were swollen from an awful allergy reaction. Because of that, I was really scared to try out new eye products.
But, these are really soothing and hydrating. So far, I have not had any negative reaction to it and I really love it.
My eyes have been especially tired these few weeks because of my exams coming up. I like to put these on when my eyes feel really tired because it feels really cool. Also, my sister told me my eyes looked more refreshed after using this.
I usually use them when I’m studying, or just before bed. I tend to leave them on more than 20 minutes, and I like to make sure I use both sides because I want to make sure I use every single bit of essence on the patch.
There is a lot of essence in this product. Sometimes, it gets messy for me because the essence gets everywhere. But, I won't complain about too much essence as I usually just rub the excess on other areas like my neck.
There is definitely a rose scent and I feel that if you're not a fan of rose, you might want to skip this out. I am actually not a fan of rose scented products (especially those that are really strong because they give me a headache). However, I feel that these are not that overpowering, so I am fine with it. The first time I opened this, the scent was quite strong but after awhile I got used to it.
Bulgarian Rose Water Mist
This mist is very lightweight and it spreads evenly.
It has a very faint rose scent, definitely not very overpowering. As I've said I’m not a fan of rose scents, but I don’t mind this mist. This has the most subtle rose scent out of the three products. In fact, after using this mist, I started craving Bandung (which is a rose syrup drink with condensed milk) and I drank that three days in a row cause of this mist lol.
A mist that soothes troubled skin, it is formulated with 88% Bulgarian rose water that nourishes and moisturizes the skin.

This mist is multifunctional, as it acts as a toner and serum. If you’re lazy like me, this would be really useful. You can just spray it on in the morning if you’re in a rush, or if you’re about to KO on the bed at night.
It is light and easy to carry around. It’s 55ml so it’s not too bulky and heavy if you decide to bring it out with you. I also love the pink gradient design on the bottle.

Now onto the last product, which is the Bulgarian Rose Satin Cream.
This was the product I saw on Meejmuse's Instagram. The first impression that hit me right off the bat when I saw it was how pretty this product was.
Bulgarian Rose Satin Cream
This is a primer cream that claims to improve the skin complexion for a better makeup look. It has brightening and moisturizing properties. This cream is meant to be applied at the end of your skincare routine before applying your makeup.
The cream looks very thick, but when applied, it does not really feel like there's anything there. It applies very smoothly with quite a creamy consistency. For me, it absorbs quite fast and it doesn't feel oily or sticky at all, but there is a slight shine. I feel like this would be good for you to use if you're looking for a dewy look.
Yes, I think that the packaging is pretty. However, I don't really like the packaging.I feel like it gets messy for me. There's a lid inside and I don't know how (or why), but everytime I use it, there's a huge mess. Sometimes the lid comes out with the cover, so this huge blob of cream spills out. Also, I would have definitely preferred if there was a spatula provided.
Anyways, here's my review on some of the Heimish Bulgarian Rose products available on Stylekorean.com. It took roughly a week or less for the products to arrive. These were sent to me for review purposes, but all opinions stated are honestly mine. They don't give out any requirements and formats about what we post, which I really appreciate.
That's all for today's post and I hope it was useful for you.
Thank you for reading and until the next post :-)
Oh, you are so right, October was rapid :) I love Korean skin care and makeup, thank you for the review!
